Three new productions in Madrid’s off scene
This autumn, three small-scale productions can be seen in Madrid’s alternative venues: two versions of Smiley and a third of La golondrina. This is a great opportunity for everyone who missed the original productions in the capital (in 2014 and 2018 respectively) to enjoy these texts.
La golondrina will run at El Pasillo Verde until 17 January and stars Montse Peiró and Álex Ortega, directed by Ángel Ferrero. The Smiley at Sala Azarte, meanwhile, is a very young production, with two twenty-something protagonists, Javi León and Hansi Martínez, directed by Pere Vázquez. It can be seen at the Chueca theatre every Sunday in November and December. Finally, the other production of Smiley features more mature actors (Javier Mencía Ramírez and Iván Vico, who also directs). The production will be on at the La Latina off theatre until 20 November.
