Butaca Award for Best Text for ‘Justícia’
Justícia, recently awarded the National Dramatic Literature Award, has received another honour, this time at the 2020 Premis Butaca, in the Best Text category. The gala of the 26th edition of Catalonia’s most important theatre awards was held in a reduced format because of the pandemic at Teatre l’Amistat in Premià de Mar, where these popular-vote awards were created five decades ago. Only nominees could attend, and the event was broadcast live by the Xarxa de Televisions Locals de Catalunya.
The Teatre Nacional de Catalunya production was also nominated in four categories: Best Theatre Production, Best Director (Josep Maria Mestres), Best Leading Actor (Josep Maria Pou) and Best Supporting Actor (Alejandro Bordanove).
